The roots of M-8
The M-8 was born in Higashi-Osaka, a city of manufacturing. It has long been used in many local factories to store small parts such as screws. The M-8 has no lid, so you can see what's inside at a glance. The red and blue M-8s have long been used to sort parts on-site, color-coded by painting. While plastic containers are prone to cracks and unevenness, Toyo Steel's M-8 is made of sturdy steel, making it durable. It has been a reliable support for craftsmen on-site since ancient times. This is the origin of the M-8.

M-8 design
The body of the M8 has a tapered shape created using drawing technology. Toyo Steel's tool boxes are originally designed to store tools, so they have a straight body shape, but the M8 has this tapered shape to make it easier to scoop up small parts by hand. This is a shape that Toyo Steel has been particular about for many years, with the safety and ease of use of the people who use the tools in mind.
The M-8 also has handles on both sides. When you put something inside, fold the handles inward. This prevents damage to the contents when stacking M-8s. When there is nothing inside the M-8, fold the handles outward, and since the main body is tapered, you can stack multiple M-8s without it being too bulky.

Suggested uses for M-8
The M8 is a time-honored tool that has supported traditional construction sites. Toyo Steel has updated the color to better suit modern lifestyles. Its design combines functionality and aesthetics, making it suitable for professional use. It's perfect for use as storage at home or for outdoor activities like camping. It's also recommended for use in the car.

Shipping

Orders are processed on business days only (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, Golden Week, and Obon).In general, orders are shipped the next business day after processing.Delivery times vary by country but typically range from 3 to 6 days after shipping.

We offer free shipping for orders over the following amounts:
Canada: 70 CAD
Australia: 125 AUD
New Zealand: 130 NZD
United Kingdom: 65 GBP
Hong Kong: 500 HKD

Sweden: 850 SEK

For all other countries, free shipping is not available. However, the unit price per item is set lower to compensate for the shipping cost.

The de minimis exemption no longer applies to shipments entering the U.S. as of August 29, 2025 (12:01 a.m. EDT).
All imported goods are now subject to duties and taxes.
To help offset this change, we are currently offering free shipping to our U.S. customers as a special measure.

For all other countries, free shipping is not available. However, the unit price per item is set lower to compensate for the shipping cost.

Returns & Cancellations

Returns
We accept returns within 7 days of receipt.
Items must be unused and in their original condition.
If you do not contact us within 7 days of receiving your order, we will be unable to process refunds or exchanges for any reason.

Cancellation

Orders cannot be canceled or modified (e.g., adding items or changing product selections) once they are confirmed.
However, cancellations within 30 minutes of placing an order (before shipping) will be accepted.

Tariffs

Shipping abroad may be subject to tariffs.
💡 For shipments to the United States: A 50% import duty is applied to steel products.
The corresponding duty amount is automatically added at checkout based on the product price.✅ You will not be charged any additional fees upon delivery.
💡We are temporarily suspending our tax payment agent service for international customers outside the United States. As a result, you may be required to make unexpected payments upon receipt (as of 7/25/2024).
💡For shipments to Europe, in addition to customs duties, a value-added tax (VAT) may be charged. This tax is typically around 20% of the product price (as of 3/6/2025).
Customs duties and related fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please note that we are not responsible for customs procedures.
Depending on the destination country and carrier, customs brokerage or handling fees may be charged separately by DHL, FedEx, or the local customs office. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping fee and are the responsibility of the recipient.
